From Director’s Desk
As the constituent organ of the Institution of the Engineers (India), the Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI) is at the forefront in professional development of engineers in both core engineering disciplines and also interdisciplinary domains such as climate change, quality management, intelligent transportation, renewable energy and water resources management. Recent programs of ESCI address emerging areas such as additive manufacturing, information security, unmanned autonomous vehicles, engineering analysis and simulation.
ESCI is also supporting technical universities and engineering colleges through programs that focus on accreditation and assessment protocols, proficiency development for TEQIP institutions and employability enhancement of engineering graduates. Eminent engineers, scientists, industry leaders, IE (I) council members and academicians who serve as empanelled experts and adjunct faculty of ESCI enrich these programs through sharing of their professional insights.
Recently ESCI received affiliations from various skill development councils of NSDC. ESCI also entered into MOU with IE (I) Himachal Pradesh Centre and other engineering institutions to offer training and skill development programs in various centres. By setting up well-equipped laboratories in core engineering disciplines, ESCI looks forward to fulfilling the training needs of AMIE graduates and other young engineers who need industry-orientation. Our engineering enterprises and industries need skilled engineers for capacity enhancement and ESCI’s programs are poised to make significant contribution towards this cause of immense value to the nation building.
