Job Description:

 

Chief – Administration & Personnel:

a)         Qualification:

First class Masters Degree in Business Administration – HR (preferred) / Engg. / Technology / MIS or other related fields with knowledge on relevant software applications and administrative / leadership skills.

b)         Experience:

15-20 years at senior level gained in both public & private sectors and multi-national organizations. Knowledge in organizational / HR policies/practices is essential. Shall be a team builder and people-focused strategic thinker with management and supervisory skills including the ability to make difficult decisions in a rapidly changing complex and demanding environment. Fluency in the English language with excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to make persuasive presentations.

Prospective candidates should have a good academic track record, preferably with Post Graduation in Management, Graduation Engg / Tech. Candidates with facility / institutional management experience will be given preference. Candidates should have multi-functional experience of at least 15 years in a similar capacity in large service organizations and ability to lead teams.

c)         Salary:           

Consolidated monthly salary of Rs.50,000/-

d)         Age: Between 55 - 62 Years

Age relaxation and salary fixation will be considered for candidates possessing exceptional service experience and competency.

e)         Duties & Responsibilities:

Assume leadership and management responsibility for organizational services, functions, and activities, encompassing administration, human resources procurement, safety & security, logistics, infrastructure & physical facilities and legal/statutory compliance. Continuously monitor, evaluate and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods, procedures to achieve customer satisfaction

Major responsibilities cover, amongst others, efficient management of the Hostels, Campus, housekeeping, transport, security, gardening, catering, procurement, stores, human resources and union-management relations, etc.

Participate as an active member of the management committee which is responsible for assisting the Director in making strategic decisions.

i)          Administration:

Continuously monitor and evaluate the maintenance of following service sections:

  • Buildings & Hostels Upkeep
  • Transport Maintenance
  • Stores & Mailing
  • Reprographics
  • Catering
  • Electrical & Civil works
  • Systems Management
  • Purchase and Stores                                                                                                                                                                                                             

 

ii)   Personnel & HR:

Assess the manpower requirement in coordination with Dean - Academics and non-academic divisions (Projects, Finance, etc.), Designing of Recruitment Policy, Recruitment, Training in compliance with QMS Objectives. Planning and implementation of Career Development Policies - from recruitment to the retirement of all the employees.

Implementation of HR policies, Service & CDA rules, Welfare Policies & Benefits in compliance with statutory/legal regulations.                                                                                               Note: Waiver in respect of qualification and Age may be considered if the candidate has adequate experience and professional competency which is suitable for the respective domain areas.

 

Sr. Faculty, Consultants and Advisers

a)         Qualification & Experience:

Ph.D. or First Class ME / M.Tech in a relevant engineering discipline with experience of 15-25 years of academic or industrial or combination of both in top-level position as ENC / Chief Engineer / CEO / Director in industry.  Must have published research papers in renowned journals and experience of working for Donor Agencies, Development Banks, UN Organizations.

b)         Age:                45-62 Years*

c)         Salary:            Consolidated monthly salary / remuneration of Rs.50,000/-*

d)         Duties & Responsibilities:

The HoD shall play a key role in the successful conduct of the CPDPs, STPs, Consultancy and Research Projects and actively engage in formulating the curriculum, attracting the best faculty, mentoring junior faculty and providing direction to research in the relevant subject areas.

i)           Finalization of divisional academic calendar of Continuing Professional Development programmes (CPDPs) for every FY keeping the latest technological developments and stakeholders in view, designing and successful conduct of CPDPs.

ii)         Marketing - Design and develop marketing strategies for each CPDPs / STPs / Consultancy & Research Projects and do marketing with high officials of corporate / stakeholder organizations.

iii)         Specific Training Programmes (STPs) - Exploring the clientele specific training requirements, designing and successful conduct STPs

iv)        Research & Consultancy:

  • Identify the areas of expertise (internal & external)
  • Explore Research & Consultancy assignments in relevant areas
  • Preparation and submission of tenders/quotations
  • Attend preliminary meetings with presentations (as required)
  • Execution of the assignments as per prescribed standards adhering to the timeframe
  • Submission of draft report
  • Submission of final DPR

v)         Realization of payments     

vi)        Performance assessment of faculty and support staff of the division

vii)       Publish Research Papers in National / International Journals

viii)      Design and organize National / International Seminars / Conferences
