The Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI), an autonomous organ of the Institution of Engineers (India)—the country’s largest professional body of engineers—was established in 1981. ESCI’s core mandate is to provide high-quality training and education in the domains of engineering and techno-management.
Over the years, ESCI has evolved into a premier institution, known for delivering globally responsive training programs. We specialize in developing skilled professionals in engineering, R&D, and techno-management who can deliver innovative, productivity-enhancing solutions across economic sectors.
In today’s rapidly changing world, a static engineering degree is no longer sufficient. Modern engineers must also possess Emotional Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, Communication and Negotiation Skills, Stress Management Techniques, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Skills traditionally associated with management—such as strategic planning, risk management, and critical thinking—are now integral to an engineer’s profile. At ESCI, we understand this shift and are committed to developing well-rounded professionals ready for the challenges of the future.
I’m pleased to share that our 2025–26 Annual Training Calendar focuses on
Continuous Professional Development Programmes (CPDPs).
These include workshops, conferences, e-learning modules, best practice sharing,
site visits, outbound training, and educational tours—all designed to foster
individual growth and effective professional advancement. ESCI remains unique
in Asia for offering such extensive interdisciplinary training under one roof.
We have successfully executed prestigious assignments funded by the World Bank
and collaborated with international agencies such as UNESCO, UNICEF, and FANSA,
both within India and abroad. ESCI has also been recognized as a
Key Resource Center (KRC) by central ministries including
the Ministry of Jal Shakti (Jal Jeevan Mission), Ministry of Road Transport &
Highways, Rural Water Supply, and Department of Science & Technology.
Each year, ESCI conducts over 300 training programs, reaching
7,000+ engineers and managers from government bodies, public and
private enterprises, R&D institutions, and academia.
We have actively supported national missions such as Swachh Bharat (AMRUT),
Renewable Energy Initiatives (Solar PV), and Skill Development Programmes.

Our Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) focus on proficiency
building and accreditation support for TEQIP institutions.
In response to the growing need for industry-academia integration, ESCI offers
AICTE-approved PGDM programmes, designed to equip students with structured
professional development pathways.
Recognizing the specific needs of students from Tier-2 regions, ESCI has launched
finishing school programs and certification courses in high-demand domains such as
Blockchain Technology, Cybersecurity, 3D Printing, Simulation, and Climate Change.
We are proud to align our efforts with national initiatives like Atmanirbhar Bharat
and Vocal for Local, encouraging trainees to think innovatively and contribute
meaningfully to India’s development.
Lastly, ESCI offers customized consultancy services across engineering and management
